As of May 1, the Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, Sunday noon-5:00 pm; and closed Tuesday. We will update this alert ribbon (and, in the instance of longer closures, the Heritage Johnstown Facebook Page) if either or both museums are closed due to severe weather (which can include heat).

Special events calendar is here.

JAHA is grateful to the many businesses and individuals who participated in our Jeans for JAHA event on Giving Tuesday! They include:

1st Summit Bank (some of their participating employees are shown above)
CamTran
Community Foundation for the Alleghenies
Concurrent Technologies Corp. (who took their own spin on the idea with “Jerseys for JAHA”)
Ferndale Area School District (who also did “Jerseys for JAHA”)
Greater Johnstown School District
Johnstown Area Heritage Association
University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (which supported the effort with a donation)
Westmont Hilltop School District

Also, Deb Winterscheidt, JAHA’s development director, organized a modest fundraiser on Facebook to leverage the Gates Foundation’s promise of matching funds. The effort raised exceeded its $250 goal with $265 raised from nine donors. Thank you!

Meanwhile, our Annual Fund drive continues! If you’ve not yet made your donation, please visit our Support page to donate securely online (alternatively, a downloadable form is available on that page for those who prefer to mail a check).
