Heritage Johnstown is the grateful recipient of two AED devices, donated by the Rotary Club of Johnstown! An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use device that can treat a person in sudden cardiac arrest, drastically improving their chances of survival.
The club served as our guest bartenders at Last Friday at the Ethnic Social Club on April 25, and made the presentation before Strings & Bellows began to play. Above Deb Winterscheidt, Heritage Johnstown director of development, stands with Dan Solomon, chair of our board of directors (who was on his way to a much fancier event — hence the tuxedo!), Craig Saylor, Rotary club president (Craig also leads the Train Station Capture Team for Vision 2025), and Jennifer Aurandt, past Rotary club president.
The club plans to raise money to purchase two additional AEDs for Heritage Johnstown so that all our locations are covered. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Johnstown!
