The Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum are currently operating on a winter schedule: open Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, Sunday noon-5:00 pm; and closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We will update this alert ribbon (and, in the instance of longer closures, the Heritage Johnstown Facebook Page) if either or both museums are closed due to severe weather.

Beginning May 1, we will resume visitor season operating hours of open all days except Tuesday.

The Mountain Playhouse, a professional summer stock theater in nearby Jennerstown, is presenting 5/31/1889: The Flood from Sept. 17-29! We are pleased to be working with the Mountain Playhouse to cross-promote this exciting production and our museums.

Bring an August or September admission receipt from your visit to the Johnstown Flood Museum or the Heritage Discovery Center to the Mountain Playhouse box office and get $5 off a ticket to 5/31/1889: The Flood! JAHA members may purchase up to two tickets and get $5 off each.

When you bring your ticket stub from 5/31/1889: The Flood to either the Johnstown Flood Museum or the Heritage Discovery Center, you’ll receive $5 off a combo ticket to both! Your Playhouse ticket stub may be redeemed for a discounted museum admission through Sat., Oct. 12.
