Join us at the Johnstown Children’s Museum for a week of fun activities and rotund bears! Every year, the brown bears of Katmai National Park in King Salmon, AK feast on salmon to prepare themselves for Fat Bear Week, Sept. 22-29; a March-Madness style tournament. We will not only learn about the famous brown bears of Alaska, but the equally iconic black bears of Western PA! Come build your own bear cave, make bear food, special crafts, and much more!

These activities are available on a drop-in basis during museum opening hours (open Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun; closed Tue-Wed) and are free to Heritage Johnstown members or with museum admission.
