Due to an interior water leak caused by the recent extreme weather, the Johnstown Flood Museum ONLY is temporarily closed. The Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum will be operating normally! We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to remediate the problem.

Support

Your donations make what we do possible.

Heritage Johnstown (formerly Johnstown Area Heritage Association) is a non-profit organization that bases our work on Johnstown’s historic resources and sense of place – its legendary stories, historic buildings and districts, and cultural traditions. Our mission is to preserve and revitalize historic places, bring visitors and new investment into the city’s core, and build our city’s future through heritage tourism.

We have a strong track record going back to 1971 and have accomplished a great deal, but there’s still so much to do. Your support of our Annual Fund allows JAHA to continue this important work.

Current projects that your donation helps support

  • Major facility upgrades at the Johnstown Flood Museum.
  • A a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) program for the Johnstown Children’s Museum.
  • Continued programming at Peoples Natural Gas Park. This flexible venue has been a major addition to Johnstown’s vitality by attracting thousands to the City for events such as the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival, while serving as a catalyst for new events.
